Breslyn’s Blankets of Love is based in Des Moines, Iowa. Our mission is to make sure every child battling cancer feels comforted and safe- whether they are at home or in the hospital. We believe a blanket is like a warm hug, helping children cope with their journey. Through the generosity of others, we are able to provide children with their own blankets – each one made by hand, with love.
Meet Breslyn, the inspiration behind Breslyn’s Blankets of Love! When Breslyn was diagnosed with leukemia at 3 years old, she was scared and confused. When sitting in the hospital, coping with treatment and tired from her daily fight, she would ask for one thing. A blanket. Something she could wrap herself inside and feel warm. The blanket was like a warm hug, comforting and secure.
Breslyn continues to fight her disease. For kids like Breslyn, every day is a battle and a journey. Founded by Breslyn’s mother, we are dedicated to making that journey a little easier, a little happier, by providing blankets made with love to every child in need.
We are based in Des Moines, Iowa, but do not limit our help to our state. No matter where you are in the US, at home or in the hospital, we want to join your journey and help any child looking for a little love. A monetary donation helps us purchase blanket-making materials, such as fleece, so that each blanket can be made by hand, with love and a high quality. Volunteer
Every blanket we give away to a child in need is handmade by generous volunteers, making each blanket unique and special. We are also always looking for dedicated volunteers willing to donate their time to making a blanket for Breslyn’s Blankets of Love.

Request a Blanket
No matter where you are, from our home in Iowa to the East or West coast, we want to help your child – or a child you know – feel safe as they fight their own battle. Each blanket is made by hand, with love, by generous volunteers. We also include a custom note to each child, reminding them of how strong they are.
